“Courage is grace under pressure“
ernest hemingway
my love of music came from my mom. when i was growing up i cannot remember a single night when she didn’t sing a lullaby for my brothers and i, or a day when our house was not breathing in norah jones or john mayer. i reluctantly took the piano lessons my mother encouraged, and fell in love with how the sound made me feel. it took me a while to get there, but now.. music is what i do. i use music as praise, as a defense, as safety, as comfort, and as an expression of all things lovely. it’s just 12 notes, and yet the world is full of limitless sounds and stories. what a beautiful thing.
a bit about me: i drink too much coffee, i adore reading, i watch too many movies, i really like folding warm laundry, and i have a distaste of capital letters (they are very aggressive). sometimes i draw, sometimes i don’t. i like to write for people i like, and i have quite a fondness to 35mm film (specifically).
here’s to you.
love, phoebe.
